handmade dough and 729 days of married life

Guess what. I'm waiting for my first EVER handmade and hand kneaded dough to rise. Just about another half an hour of waiting and feeling my tummy growl. What delicious dough is rising, you ask? CINNAMON BITE DOUGH, THAT'S WHAT. Recipe here. Not gonna lie, the recipe is pretty much a beast and I'm very brave for tackling such an endeavor with these new baker hands. But it's gonna be balla, I'll tell you what. (:
Zac's working today until after midnight (boo) and I have the whole afternoon to myself to be a true blue wifey-poo. hahaha (: Laundry washing, kitchen cleaning, bedroom picking-upping, living room reorganizing, and book reading are all on the agenda for today (as well as blogging, because, you know, all wives do that). I'd love for the house to be spit-spot (ew) clean for our 2ND YEAR ANNIVERSARY tomorrow! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I, for one, cannot.
If you can think of any ideas for our joint blog post tomorrow, let me know! Zac wrote a guest post last year on this here bloggity blog and I'd love for him to write another one tomorrow. (: My ideas are kind of slim, one being writing a letter to the other about this last year of being married. If you have any suggestions, leave a comment. We're gonna see Gatsby tomorrow (eeek!!!) and eat dinner at Black Sheep Cafe. PUMPED.
More pictures to come shortly of my masterpiece baking experience. (:

a conglomeration of recent happenings

So I have effectively procrastinated studying for my stats test this Thursday. haha Wanna know how? By baking. I think I'm getting a knack for baking--especially when it satisfies my outrageous sweet tooth. And anything's better than stats, right?
In all honesty, I think I'll be okay for the test. I will definitely be hitting the books tomorrow. Promise, mom! I  promise, everyone else reading my silly little blog!
Life's been pretty baller, not gonna lie. So much busy, all the time, with lots of homework and friends and classes and not a whole lot of husband time. :( Wah. Tonight he plans on pulling an all-nighter waiting for Boarderlands 2 to come out and then he'll play all night until dawn. That's my gamer. :] Well, here are some pictures and a recipe! I'm off to go do some procrastinating studying. Dinosaur bones...histograms...box plots...standard deviation...reading prompts. Ah, life never stop. :]

I found a wonderful friend planking on some blocks during WDA. Before planking, she was being a cat. Awesome.

We had Dramatic Lit outside last Friday. :]

Fossil!

An impromptu date night with a rushed hairstyle and makeup. We saw The Amazing Spiderman. So good.

I came home from classes on Friday to find a cake sitting on our table. Zac did not make said cake, rather, he bummed it off the bakery truck that comes to Wymount on Friday mornings with free day old bread and cakes! That's my money pincher in action.

I got all home-makery by filling some random floating canisters with said ingredients. I labeled them with my expert sticker hand. Aw yeah.

Best face ever. Hands down.

My tummy is so happy.

lemon blueberry yogurt loaf.

I think I've found a new love for baking, now that Pinterest does most of the work for me. ;] haha I found this recipe on Pinterest back in February and I've wanted to tackle it ever since. Tonight, my best friend, Emily, and I set out to bake this Blueberry Lemon Yogurt Loaf for the first time. I am oh so tired, but so stinking proud of us! We did it! It looks beautiful and tastes amazing. If you have a free night before the summer ends, be sure to try this out. I love how my house smells right now--it's like we're in a lemon tree orchard or something. One of the best summer nights I've had in a while. Thank you so much, Emily, for all your help! :]
